Dr. Lee Lewis’ Approach to Biblical Teaching

Dr. Lee Lewis, Jr. is a minister, teacher, and devoted servant of God with more than 20 years of pulpit ministry experience. He is passionate about helping believers grow in their understanding of Scripture and equipping them to walk confidently in their faith.


As the minister of the Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ in Troy, Missouri, Dr. Lewis is known for his clear, thoughtful teaching and commitment to biblical accuracy. His preaching emphasizes sound doctrine, practical application, and helping individuals move beyond surface-level understanding into a deeper, transformative relationship with the Word of God.


Through his teaching ministry—including the Solid Food podcast—Dr. Lewis creates space for believers to engage Scripture with clarity and purpose. His approach bridges the gap between knowledge and application, empowering listeners not only to understand the Word, but to live it out daily. Dr. Lewis holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), a Master of Divinity (MDiv), and a Doctor of Ministry (DMin). His academic training supports his dedication to faithful biblical interpretation and effective teaching.


Raised in a military family, he brings a global perspective to his ministry—valuing connection, clarity, and communication that resonates across cultures and backgrounds. He believes both adversity and opportunity are tools God uses to shape and strengthen His people.


He is also the author of Words to the Beloved, a devotional centered on encouragement, humility, and spiritual growth. Dr. Lee Lewis is also a part of Pods and Rods


Outside of ministry, Dr. Lewis is an avid traveler and professional photographer who finds joy in capturing the beauty of God’s creation. He and his wife, Michelle, are blessed with nine children and ten grandchildren, and they remain deeply rooted in faith and family.
